No One Works here was a collaborative effort by the Idea Couture team with an eye towards encouraging readers to unleash their natural imagination and will to innovate and organizations to develop a capacity for continuous innovation.
The book is divided into three parts. All three are almost independent and can be read in parallel; the reader can easily switch from one part to the next. The first part provides some readings on innovation written from both economic and anthropological perspectives. The second part is a photographic journey of our first 12 months. The third part shows a selection of our innovations as illustrated concepts. You may think that some of these ideas are whacky, namely that the lines between demand chain and supply chain are unclear, that customers’ experiences become the marketing, that jobs are avenues of self-expression and that users un-design your products. But if you’ve been paying close attention to what’s going on, you don’t have to imagine this scenario. You’ve been watching it form all around you.
